1960 American 4-door Sedan
|
The Rambler American was a relatively new model. Introduced only two years before (with a low, LOW price of just $1,789), it was at that time the least expensive U.S.-built automobile on the market. The American, which was intended to compete in the burgeoning market for small foreign automobiles, was an ever-increasing success for AMC, as 1960 sales figures proved: four times as many Americans were sold in 1960 as had been sold in the car's introductory year of 1958. |
