| 1964 Rambler American 440 conv My 1964 American Rambler 440 Convertible has an automatic transmission, an automatic top (that works), a transistor radio, and even has a tissue box holder mounted under the dash. Its in-line 6-cylinder is in great shape. The odometer shows 49,594 mi. Since I have owned it, I have repainted it, replaced the vinyl top, bypassed the vacuum fuel pump with a new electric pump, installed a new electric starter (I still have the original), rebuilt the carburetor, dropped and cleaned the fuel tank, and given it a brake job.
