American 400 convertible.
Beautiful white with white
top. Interior is white with black trim & updated gray vinyl
seats. Paint has some rock chips, etc. Whitewall tires look
good with spinner wheel covers. Brightwork still bright, glass is
good. Engine is dependable workhorse 195.6 cid OHV six.
(Blows a little black smoke at the stop signs.) Transmission is a
very rare E-Stick that is fun to drive. No power steering or
power brakes. Gauges and warning lights work, but fuel gauge is
erratic. Heater and wipers need work. In the last 2 years
fuel pump & carburetor have been replaced, new upper trunnions
installed, steering gearbox & steering column rebuilt. Car
steers properly, shifts smoothly, horns & turn signals work,
etc. Turned brake drums, replaced hydraulic pump & rams on
convertible top. Two correct outside rearview mirrors and an AMC
Technical Service Manual included. Mirrors should be rechromed
before being installed. Clean Nevada title. Mileage is
unknown. For sale “as is, where is” with no warranty of any
kind. Inspection recommended as with any old car. Asking
